How much does it cost to record at Starcity Studios?

Our session rates vary depending on the length of booking and the type of service required. We offer flexible options including hourly sessions, half-day bookings, and special offers such as our 3-hour recording sessions which are popular with artists looking to write, record and develop a track in one focused session. For a personalised quote, feel free to contact us with details about your project.

Do I need to bring my own music or beat?

Not necessarily. Many artists arrive with their own instrumentals or beats, but if you don’t have one yet we can help. Our producers can assist with music production, custom beats, and songwriting development so you can build your track from the ground up.

Can beginners record at the studio?

Absolutely. We regularly work with first-time artists as well as experienced musicians. Our engineers will guide you through the process and make sure you feel comfortable in the studio, helping you get the best possible performance.

How long does it take to record a song?

Recording time varies depending on the complexity of the track and how prepared the artist is. Some songs can be recorded within a 2–3 hour session, while others may take longer if additional production, layering or vocal takes are needed.

Can you help with songwriting? & Production?

Yes. If you need support developing your lyrics, structure or melody, our team can work with you during your session to help shape the song while staying true to your style and vision. We can also help you create a song from scratch, starting with reference tracks or a musical idea. Our producers will work with you to design the beat, structure the song, record vocals and develop the sound into a complete record.

Can I record multiple songs in one session?

Yes, many artists use their session time to record multiple tracks, vocal ideas or demos. The exact number depends on preparation and complexity, but our engineers help keep the session organised so you can make the most of your time.

Can you mix and master music recorded elsewhere?

Yes. If you recorded your track at home or another studio, we can still provide professional mixing and mastering to bring your song to industry standard.

How do I know you can handle my sound?

Our team works with artists across all genres and experience levels, from first-time performers to established musicians. Our engineers are experienced in adapting to different styles and helping artists capture the sound they’re aiming for. If you have reference tracks or a particular vision for your music, we’re always happy to discuss this before your session to make sure we’re aligned with your creative direction.

Will my session come with an engineer?

Yes. All recording sessions include a professional in-house engineer who will handle the technical side of the session, from microphone setup to recording and session management. This allows you to focus fully on your performance and creativity while we ensure everything sounds great

Is there parking?

Yes. We have on-site parking available for clients attending sessions at the studio, making it easy to arrive with equipment or instruments. If you have specific access requirements, just let us know ahead of your session.
