Song Development & Pre-Production
Before we record a single note, we spend time understanding your song — the structure, the arrangement, the feel you're going for. If things need refining before they go on tape, we'll help you get there. This is the part most studios skip. We don't.
Professional Recording
You'll record in a fully equipped professional studio with an experienced engineer who's worked with artists across every genre and experience level. The environment is relaxed, focused, and built to get the best out of you.
Production
We'll build the music around your performance
Whether that's a stripped back acoustic arrangement or a fully produced track with instrumentation, layers and texture. This is where your song stops being a demo and starts becoming a record.
Mixing
Every element of the session is mixed by hand — levels, tone, space, dynamics — until the track translates properly across every speaker, headphone and streaming platform your listeners might use.
Mastering
The final stage. Your track is mastered to commercial streaming standards, ready for release on Spotify, Apple Music, and everywhere else. This is the step that makes your record sound like it belongs alongside professional releases — because it does.
Release Ready Delivery
You receive your finished master file in the correct format for distribution. Your record is complete. All that's left is to put it out.

Starcity Studios has been working with independent artists, producers and labels across Surrey and South London since 2012. We've recorded first-timers and signed artists, emerging songwriters and experienced producers. We've mixed tracks that have gone on to stream hundreds of thousands of times and mastered records released through independent labels across the UK.

Tell us about Your Project/Song
The Record package includes up to 16 hours of studio time across pre-production, recording, production, mixing and mastering. Projects requiring additional time are quoted transparently before any further commitment is made. We'll always tell you where you stand.
